I'm Laura Mackey. In 1972, my husband Fred and I opened the first ABC EDUCATIONAL CHILDCARE CENTER, INC (ABC) in a one room school house with two children on Tybee Island GA. Since it was the first child care facility on the island, City Hall had to create a business license for the school! ABC now provides child care for over 250 children from three Savannah locations.
ABC's mission continues to be to provide the safest, most caring, and educationally stimulating environment possible for the children and parents who need our services. Licensed by Bright from the Start and Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning, all staff members are not only required to meet the State of Georgia standards, they are carefully chosen to meet ABC's qualifications, which include a national criminal background check.
 It is very heart warming and exciting to me that ABC is now providing care to many of the children and grandchildren of former students.This greatly encourages me that the thousands of children who have been entrusted to our care were provided the best care possible. All of us at ABC welcome the opportunity to be your child's early learning provider.
